VOTE EARLY
Your county sets the days. Look yours up: www.pa.gov/agencies/vote/voter-support/ballot-availability
Pennsylvania votes early by on-demand mail ballot: once your county has ballots ready, you can apply for, receive, and submit a mail ballot in one visit to your county election office. When ballots are ready varies by county; the deadline to apply in person is 5 p.m., October 27, 2026.
Register by Monday, October 19

My day
What to bring
- Pennsylvania driver's license or PennDOT ID card
- ID issued by any Commonwealth agency
- ID issued by the U.S. Government
- U.S. passport
- U.S. Armed Forces ID
- Student ID (including an electronic/digital student ID card)
- Employee ID
Pennsylvania asks for ID only the first time you vote at a polling place, or after you move to a new one. The ID must not be expired, canceled, or revoked. A non-photo ID with your name and address also works.
No ID? If you do not have a photo ID, you can use a non-photo ID that includes your name and address: confirmation issued by the county voter registration office, non-photo ID issued by the Commonwealth or the U.S. Government, firearm permit, current utility bill, current bank statement, paycheck, or government check.
If the line is long
If you are in line at or before 8 p.m. (when polls close), you will be allowed to cast your vote.
If they turn you away, ask for a provisional ballot.
