My day

What to bring

  • Your social security card
  • Any pre-printed form of identification that shows your name and address, or name and signature, or name and photograph

This is what most voters show. Some first-time voters who registered by mail must show a current photo ID with name and address, or a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or government document with name and address, or else cast a provisional ballot.

No ID? If you do not have any ID, in most cases you may sign a statement under penalty of false statement on Form ED-681, "Signatures of Electors Who Did Not Present ID", instead of presenting ID.

If the line is long

Any elector standing in line at the polls at 8 pm will be allowed to cast a vote.

If they turn you away, ask for a provisional ballot.
